Punch In For Kung Fu Season 2 on Warner TV (Premieres 10 March 2022)
Mention the “Kung Fu" series to Gen X-ers, and they will immediately remember the 1970's show which starred David Carradine as Kwai Chang Caine, a half-Chinese Shaolin monk who was framed for murder, and came to America to search for his family. It is well known that martial arts legend Bruce Lee was passed over for the main role, and it has been argued that this was due to his accent, which the audience may find difficulty understanding. It just goes to show the level of discrimination Asian and Asian-American actors face, trying to get visibility in tinseltown. The original series has also been criticized for its prominent white-washing and propagating of Asian stereotypes.
With the rebooted, reimagining of the series that premiered in 2021, the creators Christina M. Kim, Martin Gero, Greg Berlanti, Sarah Schechter, Robert Berens and Warner Bros TV hope to right some of the wrongs regarding Hollywood's ‘bamboo ceiling’. In this new gender-bent version set in modern times, Olivia Liang as Nicky Shen, a young Chinese American woman who ran away from her university studies and ended up learning Shaolin kungfu at a monastery in China.
The first season of KUNG FU follows Nicky's homecoming in San Francisco, to find that her parents owes the mob money due to the family's failing restaurant business. A dangerous Triad has now taken hold of her home district, and is overrun with crime and corruption. While trying to solve the mystery of her sifu's death, Nicky also makes it her mission to disentangle her family from the mobsters and use her kung fu skills to fight for justice.
Season 2 of KUNG FU premieres today (10 March 2022) on Warner TV. There is more battles ahead for Nicky, as the family reunites with a long-lost cousin named Mia (Vanessa Yao). What has Mia got to do with the Russell Tan (Kee Chan), the current season's Big Bad?
If you have yet to get on board with the show, it is still not too late to start. Red Dot Diva gives you the five reasons why you should watch KUNG FU:

The Walking Dead Season 10 Part 2, and Kingdom Season 2 Premiere During COVID-19 Pandemic
As the COVID-19 pandemic is unfolding worldwide in real time, two internationally popular TV shows about a zombie apocalypse, are making their return to our screens. They are part 2 of AMC's THE WALKING DEAD Season 10 and Netflix's KINGDOM Season 2.
With news streaming over the social media about people panic buying at supermarkets, hoarding food and essentials as they try to fend themselves from infection, Red Dot Diva thinks that one can pick up a few lessons on what not to do when watching these zombie shows.
Like why the rush for toilet paper? During an apocalypse, Red Dot Diva is going to gun for mineral water. After all, you can barely last 3 days without water. Also, how is anyone going to be able to cook rice, pasta, instant noodles (not talking about Mamee) without water?
Red Dot Diva also feels it is very cathartic to watch fictional characters deal with the aftermath of an outbreak. You can scream at them in frustration from the comfort of your favourite arm chair, or begin to have faith in humanity again, even though the world is going to sh**.
THE WALKING DEAD SEASON 10 Part 2 - started 24 February 2020, Fox TV Asia
The second part of Season 10 of THE WALKING DEAD, a show based on the comic book series by Robert Kirkman and Tony Moore, premiered recently on Fox channels in the SEA region on 24 February, same day as the U.S. telecast.

Daniel Radcliffe is a Medieval Prince in Miracle Workers: Dark Ages, Premieres 29 January 2020 on Warner TV Asia!
For those whose head canon consists of Daniel Radcliffe being a prince, your wish has been granted!
In “MIRACLE WORKERS: DARK AGES”, Daniel Radcliffe returns to the anthology series created by humourist Simon Rich, together with cast mates Steve Buscemi, Geraldine Viswanathan, Karan Soni, Jon Bass, and Lolly Adefope. The series premieres on 29 January 2020 at 10:40 PM, and will air weekly, on every Wednesday, via Warner TV (Star Hub TV CH. 515 and Singtel TV CH. 306).
It is the medieval times, and a group of peasants are trying to cope with the "extreme income inequality, poor healthcare, and widespread ignorance", not to mention the danger of being publicly killed in the village square for any small reason. Meanwhile, the insipid Prince tries to live up to his ancestors' badassery and bloodlust, except that all he is really interested in are his ducks. Yep, you read it right. Ducks.

Three other shows aired by Warner TV are also set to returning on screen this week. They are "The Big Bang Theory", its prequel series "Young Sheldon", and cop show "Lethal Weapon".
THE BIG BANG THEORY
Special Premiere: 25 September 2018, Tuesday, 8:10 PM

Winter Is Here! New Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer and Posters Offer More Hints
While gazillion "Game of Thrones" fans have been waiting impatiently for Season 7 to arrive, a new trailer was released by HBO. The cable channel had sneakily usurped the summer solstice with the battle cry that #WinterIsHere.
Needless to say, the action-filled trailer got the GoT fans going Stark crazy.
Red Dot Diva herself spotted a huge grin on her face that looked somewhat like this (minus those awesome sharp teeth):

Any hardcore "Game of Thrones" fan must have watched the new trailer multiple times by now, trying to piece together the sneak peeks of various characters in different locations. There are a host of geek websites and podcasts that have broken down each teaser scene in detail, so Red Dot Diva is not going to rehash that.
All she is going to say is, not only #WinterIsHere, #WarIsComing also. Massive, fiery, bloody wars that seem to be the focus of the season, as the various houses and their alliances begin to converge.
Here are scenes that Red Dot Diva is eager to watch in Season 7:

Singapore Fans Sing Happy Birthday to Game of Thrones' Actor Isaac Hemsptead-Wright at ION Orchard!
Judging by the love showered upon "Game of Thrones" actor Isaac Hemsptead-Wright during his appearance at ION Orchard yesterday (2 April), it seems the local fans have sorely missed seeing Bran Stark in the drama's previous season.
The audience has practically seen the young actor grow up on screen as Bran. However, the young noble had been missing for the entire Season 5.
At that point, Bran's story had mostly caught up with what had happened in George R.R. Martin's books. The other reason: Bran was undergoing some Westeros-Harry Potter-style training with the mysterious shifu Three-Eyed Raven.
In the new season, there will be more Bran Stark (YAYY!!) and even better still, more handsome badass Bran Stark (W00t, W00t!).
When Red Dot Diva arrived at the venue 45 minutes before Isaac Hemsptead-Wright's scheduled 3PM appearance, hundreds of fans were already waiting patiently at the surrounding area. About 50 Starhub contest winners were also within the holding area, as they will get a chance to meet him in person later on.

AXN Asia's Very Special "Sherlock" Screening Marathon on 23 February!
For the last few years, the latest and most comtemporary incarnation of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's book character Sherlock Holmes has taken pop-culture audiences around the world by storm.
The BBC TV series created by Steven Moffat and Mark Gatiss, and simply entitled "Sherlock", stars Brit fan favourites Benedict Cumberbatch and Martin Freeman.
Red Dot Diva has to be confess: she is not a big fan of the series. Being a hardcore ACD book nerd, she has her own personal reasons for not enjoying the new "Sherlock" as much as she thinks she should. But, there is one thing she cannot fault about the series - the solid acting of Cumberbatch and Freeman (and many of the other supporting/ guest actors).... And the silver foxiness of Inspector Lestrade/ Rupert Graves .... *bites quivering lower lip*

The Walking Dead Live Fan Event in Singapore - Part 3 of Squees
After all that feverish excitement from seeing her fave zombie killers in action (for which Red Dot Diva places blame squarely on the hot bicepstuous-ness of "The Walking Dead" stars Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus), it was a relief to step into the cool AC of La Salle's auditorium.
This was where the exclusive Q&A with the two celebrities was going to be held in front of over 200 specially invited fans and media folks.
Red Dot Diva, Red Dot Dude aka Andre and Rita decided to head down to the ground level of the hall instead of the circle seats, and managed to find a pretty sweet vantage point about five rows up from the stage. Adding to the eye candy factor was cutie and local celebrity George Young, who happened to be seated in the row just in front of Rita.

The Walking Dead Live Fan Event in Singapore - Part 2 of Squees
Location: Around noon yesterday at La Salle open ground....
"Very Tricky" obstacle course -- SET!
Bloody zombies -- SET!
Hapless victims -- SET!
Two pairs of gorgeous muscley biceps (courtesy of Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus) -- SET!
About 250 eager excited onlookers -- SET, SET and SET!
(If you have missed Part 1 of this article, Red Dot Diva says click here!)
But before Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus show off their scruffy-manly acts of heroism, event host Adrian Pang did a walk-through of the sequence of tasks with them. That's when the fans, including Red Dot Diva, who have been standing toward the back of the obstacle course, were able to get a closer look of the two stars.

The Walking Dead Live Fan Event in Singapore - Part 1 of Squees
There's simply no better way to kick off a geeky year than being in the thick of blood, gore and beautiful biceps at "The Walking Dead" Live event held at La Salle College of the Arts yesterday.
The fan event organized by Fox Movies Premium, Starhub and PR firm SPRG was one of the most vibrant and fun local fan event Red Dot Diva has attended. Made even more awesome of course, by the two super-popular celebrities from the series - Andrew Lincoln and Norman Reedus, who were very willing to please their fans here by participating in a zombie obstacle course.
Prior to them arriving in Singapore for this special event, Norman Reedus attended and presented at the People's Choice Awards where "The Walking Dead" won the Favourite Cable TV Drama and after the telecast, Andrew Lincoln was awarded Favourite TV Anti-Hero for the character of Rick Grimes. On Twitter, Norman seemed to be having so much fun at the awards, taking selfies, accepting the award on behalf of the TWD family and 'hanging out' with Joseph Morgan and RDJ!
