Attack On Titan Exhibition Stomps Into ArtScience Museum From 19 February 2022
Attention, troops! Get your ODM gear ready! The Titans will be arriving at ArtScience Museum from 19 February 2022.
ATTACK ON TITAN (Shingeki no Kyojin) is an insanely popular manga series by Japanese creator Hajime Isayama, with over 100 million copies sold in print. During its 11-year run, readers followed the adventures of a young man named Eren Yeager and his close friends Mikasa Ackerman and Armin Alert, in a dystopian world where humanity is threatened by horrifying, man-eating giants.
The manga was adapted to an anime series produced by Wit Studios, except for the last season, which was taken over by MAPPA. The series is currently streaming on Netflix Singapore, and The Final Season: Part 2 recently premiered on 10 January 2022. New episodes are being released weekly, with reports stating that there will be a total of 12 episodes to wrap up the anime series.
Organised by SpaceLogic, the ATTACK ON TITAN: The Exhibition will feature over 180 pieces of Hajime Isayama's works of art, from his early days of the manga series to the present. This will be the exhibition's South-East Asia debut. Here are what visitors and fans of the franchise can expect from the exhibition:

Game of Thrones Season 7: Diva Heads to Westeros at Cathay Cineleisure & Vivocity
| The Iron Throne at Cathay Cineleisure |
There may not be any "Game of Thrones" cast or crew members helping out with the Season 7 promotion in Red Dot Island this year, but there are still some pop-up activities that fans could take part in.
These events will only run from 15 to 16 July (Sat and Sun), and lead up to HBO Asia's Season 7 premiere which will air on 17 July morning, the same time as the U.S. telecast.
Red Dot Diva and Lannister Lion teamed up to check out two different parts of "Westeros" - Cathay Cineleisure and Vivocity.
CATHAY CINELEISURE
For this weekend, Cathay Cineleisure hosts the Ice Throne and Iron Throne. A few weeks ago, both thrones were on display at Chevron House, Raffles Place.

Winter Is Here! New Game of Thrones Season 7 Trailer and Posters Offer More Hints
While gazillion "Game of Thrones" fans have been waiting impatiently for Season 7 to arrive, a new trailer was released by HBO. The cable channel had sneakily usurped the summer solstice with the battle cry that #WinterIsHere.
Needless to say, the action-filled trailer got the GoT fans going Stark crazy.
Red Dot Diva herself spotted a huge grin on her face that looked somewhat like this (minus those awesome sharp teeth):

Any hardcore "Game of Thrones" fan must have watched the new trailer multiple times by now, trying to piece together the sneak peeks of various characters in different locations. There are a host of geek websites and podcasts that have broken down each teaser scene in detail, so Red Dot Diva is not going to rehash that.
All she is going to say is, not only #WinterIsHere, #WarIsComing also. Massive, fiery, bloody wars that seem to be the focus of the season, as the various houses and their alliances begin to converge.
Here are scenes that Red Dot Diva is eager to watch in Season 7:

Diva Watched Master Artist Salavat Fidai Transform Pencil Tips into Game of Thrones Microsculptures
Grand sweeping landscapes, massive battle scenes and memorable dramatic visuals are mainstays of HBO's award-winning fantasy drama series "Game of Thrones".
However, to promote upcoming Season 7 of "Game of Thrones", fans are invited to view their beloved TV show in a much smaller scale. An epicly miniscule scale, to be exact.
Together with art studio and curatorial space K+, HBO Asia commissioned microsculptor Salavat Fidai to carve 16 pieces of various images from the show, all on the tips of fragile graphite lead pencils.
The entire exhibit took 4 months for the Russian artist to complete.
The result is a special exhibition called "Game of Thrones: A Pencil Microsculpture Exhibition by Salavat Fidai", held at K+ Scotts Square till June 4, and admission is FREE!

Game of Thrones Season 7 Arrives on HBO Asia 17 July 2017, 9 AM
Winter is Coming. And so is War!
After that shocking "Game of Thrones" S6 season finale where a whole bunch of people went Kaboom!, the cruel and scheming Cersei ended up being crowned as Queen of the Seven Kingdoms. From then on, things are just going to get more intense.
The convergence of the different houses in Season 7 will unfold in just seven episodes as the different players focus on King's Landing. This is ominously depicted in the first official teaser made entirely of sigils belonging to the main Houses at play - the Lannisters, the Targaryens, the Starks, the Baratheons and the Tyrells, plus one more powerful game changer - the White Walkers.
Will the Great Wall hold? Or will it all come tumbling down?

Diva's Movie Review: China Box Office Hit "Monster Hunt" Needs More Bite (Minor Spoilers)
"Monster Hunt" (捉妖记) is probably one of those movies you may not have heard of, but it is the biggest hit movie in China right now.
On opening day alone, the movie raked in 162 million Yuan (SGD 35.8 mil) of box office takings. In addition, it also earned over 669 million Yuan (SGD 147.8 mil) during the first weekend. It is currently the highest-grossing film in China, having earned 1.32 billion Yuan (SGD 286.7 mil) since its first day at the box office.
These record-breaking feats got Red Dot Diva curious enough to see whether "Monster Hunt" was worth all the hype, even though generally, her taste in films do not coincide with those of most viewers in mainland China.
Directed by Dreamworks animator Raman Hui, who was also co-director on "Shrek the Third", "Monster Hunt" is a blend of live-action and VFX footage in a Sinicized-fantasy world where monsters and mankind are at odds with each other, and the monsters are driven by the humans to flee deep into the mountains.

Red Dot Diva Chats With Will Simpson - Game of Thrones' Storyboard Artist!
Last year, Red Dot Diva had the rare opportunity to be able to sit down for a casual lunch chit-chat with Will Simpson. The talented storyboard artist of HBO's epic-ly popular TV series "Game of Thrones" was an invited guest speaker for Screen Singapore 2014.
Will Simpson has worked on the elaborate fantasy series since the beginning. He is also internationally known as a comic artist who have worked on titles like "Batman", "Transformers" and "Judge Dredd". About more than 10 years ago, Will entered into the foray of storyboarding and concept art, with his work appearing in movies like "City of Ember" and "Reign of Fire".
With an easy smile and amiable personality that would put anyone at ease almost immediately, Will Simpson began the session by talking about other stuff that he had been doing recently. In his musical Irish accent, he revealed that in between shows, he has been working on a 6-part vampire story comic strip.

Westeros is Coming to Singapore! Game of Thrones S5 Premieres on HBO Asia, April 13!
It has been a long long wait for Game of Thrones Season 5, the epic, crazy-popular fantasy series based on the books by George R. R. Martin. But soon, dear GOT fans, you will get to watch the premiere episode from the new season on HBO Asia. The date to mark your calendars ---- April 13!
The last time viewers left Westeros, there had been many shocking twists and turns. For one thing, Tyrion finally gave Papa his just desserts, usually naive Sansa Stark went dark (literally) and sultry - thanks to the creepy urgings of Littlefinger, Arya went off on her own after leaving the Hound to die, Jon makes a pact with Mance Rayder, Daenerys was not having a fun time learning How to Chain your Dragon, while Bran & Co battled ice zombies and finally spot the mysterious Children of the Forest.
All of these which left many fans dying for more revelations about our favourite Game of Thrones characters. It won't be long before we will be transported once again to the Land of Westeros, and this will be the first time we will be taken to the opulent Kingdom of Dorne - the domain of the House of Martell and the deadly Sand Snakes.
Naturally, this means that new cast members have been added to the show's latest season. The new actors include Jonathan Pryce (the High Sparrow), Alexander Siddig (Doran Martell), DeObia Oparei (Areo Hotah), Keisha Castle-Hughes (Obara Sand), Rosabell Laurenti Sellers (Tyene Sand), Jessica Henwick (Nym Sand), Nell Tiger Free (Myrcella Baratheon) and Toby Sebastian (Trystane Martell).

Game of Thrones Season 4's Dark Warning - Valar Morghulis
Last season of HBO's wildly popular fantasy series "Game of Thrones" ended with a gush of blood (in a Stark red hue, no less) spilling on fans all over the world.
Red Dot Diva is pretty sure viewers still have not gotten over the Red Wedding.
Vengeance is coming. And the fate of many in Westeros hang on a balance.
Yet, there is another feast to behold - a wedding fit for a King. The so-called "Purple Wedding" will have people from different lands invited to King's Landing for the celebration of the union between Joffrey Lannister and Margaery Tyrell. Including someone by the name of Prince Oberyn Martell (Pedro Pascal), also known as the Red Viper.
Will the Night's Watch be able to hold off the invasion led by Mance Rayder and his crew of wildlings? Will Arya Stark get to avenge the death of her beloved family members? Does Daenerys' growing Unsullied army get more powerful with every liberated slaver city?

Game of Thrones Special: Interview With The Affable Kristian Nairn
Some are very short-lived; many suffered horrible fates and quite a few seem to grow in the hearts of the series' fans.
One such character is the loyal and humble servant Hodor from the noble House of Stark. Towering over many and slow in wit, he can only utter one word "Hodor" and carries crippled Bran Stark around in a kind of basket or harness.
Hodor did not have many scenes in Season 1 but Red Dot Diva is certain that many viewers of the TV series would have found it difficult forget the famous nekkid-Hodor episode. ;)
Irish actor Kristian Nairn, who plays Hodor on screen is actually a giant in real life too. Standing almost at 7 feet tall, Kristian is not only an actor, he is also a well-known DJ and electronic music producer in his own right! Kristian has DJ-ed and performed in many music festivals and shows internationally. Now, that's what you call Groovin' Large.

Three Squee-worthy Movie Trailers: #2 - "The Hobbit"
*gasp* Has it been already been 10 years since the first LOTR movie - "The Fellowship of the Ring" - was released??
Time seems to pass too fast sometimes!
The LOTR trilogy movies hold a special place in Red Dot Diva's heart because it was the first time, a fantasy movie actually looked like a fantasy story from the books. All thanks to Peter Jackson and his team's shared vision and the wonderful FX work by WETA.
She also made many good friends through the LOTR fandom. Some have remained loosely in touch, while others were always close by, especially during her times of need. The Fellowship of the Ring became a real fellowship of sorts in Red Dot Diva's own not-so-Middle Earth.

"THE HOBBIT: AN UNEXPECTED JOURNEY"
The movie adaptation for "The Hobbit" had so many stops and starts. In early 2010, Peter Jackson finally took up the role as director for "The Hobbit: An Unexpected Journey" after Guillermo del Toro left because of production delays. Fans breathed a sigh of relief when work for the prequel began to take shape and production kicked-off in New Zealand back in March 2011. The avid LOTR fandom was all abuzz with excitement again!Monday, August 29, 2011
HBO Asia's "Game Of Thrones" Premiere - Diva Seized The Iron Throne
So........ Red Dot Diva just had to ask....
Dear Asian fans who have been waiting this long for the premiere of HBO series "Game of Thrones", was it as good for you on Sunday night as it was for Red Dot Diva?
Prior to the actual telecast 28th August, Sunday night on the HBO Asia channel, a bunch of local geek/ pop-culture bloggers (including Red Dot Diva) was specially invited to a "Game of Thrones" media preview by the very lovely ladies of the HBO publicity team.
The event was held on 18th August at the very swanky ION SKY, an indoor observatory on Level 55 / 56 of Ion Orchard, with a breath-taking 360-degree view of the Orchard Road area and beyond.

"Game Of Thrones" - HBO Asia's Epic Fantasy Series Not To Be Missed!
Lovers of medieval-like fantasy epics would not want to miss this wonderfully produced series on HBO called "Game of Thrones".
The show is based on esteemed writer George R.R. Martin's book series about seven houses vying for the Iron Throne, with the first season of the series following his first book "A Song On Ice and Fire" .
With seven kingdoms seated in different parts of the Westeros world, there is a whole bunch of colourful characters to love (or hate), and all kinds of politics thrown in the mix - including the sexual kind (which suits Red Dot Diva's pervy tastes just fine).
Not sure how pervy Red Dot Diva can get?? Read a Straits Times Life article about period dramas where she was quoted together with fellow fans, Here Be Geeks. (Page 1 here and Page 2)
Red Dot Diva says that there are proud and noble warriors, murderous spouses, witches, incestuous twins, a tomboy, over-protective mothers, creepy zombie-like creatures, regally beautiful direwolves and not to mention, a partying whoring dwarf of a prince.
