Superman & Lois Series Is Ready To Soar on 24 February 2021, Warner TV Asia

It's time to go up, up and away on 24 February 2021 with the premiere of “Superman & Lois”. The brand new series, which will telecast exclusively on Warner TV at 9 PM on the same day as the U.S., is the latest spin off from the Arrowverse. For those who are new to the Arrowverse, the term refers to a shared universe of several TV series consisting of story arcs of several DC Comics' characters like Green Arrow, The Flash, Supergirl and Batwoman, just to name a few.

About a decade has passed since a series about Superman was last aired on TV. This was a long running series called “Smallville” starring Tom Welling as Clark Kent, which was well loved by many Superman fans.

Tyler Hoechlin (who was in “Teen Wolf” prior to entering the Arrowverse) has taken over the mantle as Superman. Elizabeth Tulloch reprises her role as famous journalist Lois Lane. Instead of the usual villain of the week format, the 90-minute premiere episode of “Superman & Lois” gives a fresh spin of the Superman lore by focusing on the married life of Clark Kent and Lois Lane. Like most working parents, they are busy juggling their careers while raising the teenage sons Jonathan (Jordan Elsass) and Jordan (Alexander Garfin). Meanwhile, there is the question of whether the boys will inherit any of their father's Kryptonian superpowers and complicate matters even further.

Red Caped Destiny - Smallville's Series Finale

10 years.

Imagine that.

That was how long Red Dot Diva had invested some of her pop-culture time with the long-running CW (previously WB) series, "Smallville". A re-imagining based on the popular and very well-loved DC comics character, Superman.

Perhaps one should tip a hat off to Tom Welling. For without him staying as youthful-looking as he did, Red Dot Diva doubts the series would have stayed on for this long!

The two-hour finale was announced many weeks before and fans were already aware of several re-appearances by well-loved actors, including Michael Rosenbaum. So after 10 years of trying to embrace his destiny and attempting to actually fly, "Smallville" ended two Fridays ago on May 13th with his Kal-El-ness finally taking to the skies in that familiar red-caped costume. About fraking time right?

Justin Harley Directed Zod's Return in "Smallville"

"Kneeeeeeel....Before Zod."

Red Dot Diva thinks that Callum Blue just reels that phrase off his tongue so snarlingly sexy in that rich British accent of his. Mmm hmmm...

Yes, peeps. Phantom Zone's resident leader, General Zod, was back in last week's "Smallville" episode entitled "Dominion", simmering with mean scruffiness in his medieval-cyber-punk wear. He has even managed to Ikea-himself a throne of bones and skulls, and made friends with some slinky albino pythons. Count Red Dot Diva impressed and ready to kneel.

She is even more impressed when she learnt that the well-paced episode was the directorial debut of "Smallville"'s very own (and Red Dot Diva's favourite character) Green Arrow - Justin Hartley.

Guess Who's Back on "Smallville"?

In one of the more epicly-evil news of the week, Lex Luthor Prime will be back in the series finale of "Smallville"!!!

Michael Rosenbaum, who had left the series in 2008, went on to concentrate on writing. He is currently filming the Syfy half-hour comedy series, "Saved by Zeroes", which he also created.

Unlike some of the other "Smallville" actors who were no longer in the series, he had been very reluctant to return to the show, even for guest spots.

Red Dot Diva is still trying to come down from a hyperventilating-estrogen high after hearing the news. AHHHHhh!!

A Surprise Guest at the Smallville Comic Con Panel

The San Diego Convention Center's Ballroom 20 was filled to maximum capacity on Sunday, 25 July, in excited anticipation for the caliber of panels scheduled that day.

First to begin was "Smallville". I was lucky enough to manage 4th row center.

To start the panel the moderator, Geoff Johns, came out on stage to announce they that were going to show a recap of the past 9 seasons and a glimpse into Season 10 – The final season. This was expected of course, however the snippets shown for season 10 made it look be an AWESOME year!
