Some Supernatural Spoilers From Comic Con

After the “Smallville” panel, the crowd moved about trying to find new seats.

A woman from the backstage crew came out holding the name cards for the “Supernatural” panel. Now up until the point, the only people who were confirmed as panel members were executive producers Sara Gamble and Ben Edlund.

Knowing everyone was watching her, she placed the cards for the producers, and then stood at the empty spots waiting to place the cards for the cast. All eyes were on her, as she slooooowly placed the card for Jensen Ackles. Followed by Jared Padalecki, Jim Beaver and lastly Misha Collins!

Again this led to much screaming and cheering from the audience. Especially the girls :) About 5 minutes later, Jensen came out on stage thanking everyone for coming to the panel and talked about how they were going to start a new chapter for Season 6, and explained the clip that was about to show. It was the first 5 minutes of the 1st episode of Season 6.

Toward the end of Season 5, in episode 20, Crowley offered Bobby the location of Death in exchange for his soul. He also said that it will be temporary and he will give Bobby his soul back.

Season 6 started off with Bobby at his house and in comes Crowley. Bobby demanded his soul back but Crowley refused, basically saying you should never trust a demon. He walked toward Bobby but realized too late that it was a trick and he was now trapped by a symbol painted on floor by Bobby. (The audience cheered loudly at this part). Not to be deterred, Crowley laughed and suddenly all you heard was a hound dog growling and snarling. Bobby looked scared but was determined not to give in. The stalemate begins…

The moderator came out on stage to announce the panelists in this order:

- Sara Gamble (Executive Producer)
- Eric Kripke (Executive Producer)
- Jensen Ackles (Dean Winchester) – he was working the crowd
- Jared Padalecki (Sam Winchester)
- Misha Collins (Castiel)
- Jim Beaver (Bobby Singer)
- Jim Edlund (excutive producer)

And this began another hour of Q and A. No questions really stood out in my mind, however Eric K mentioned during one question how they had planned on 5 years so that was the storyline they had written so far.

Later, an audience member asked if he had change the storyline in any way after they found out that "Supernatural" was renewed for Season 6. Eric said that “more people were left alive” but overall it stayed close to the original ended they had written. They didn’t want to drag out the apocalypse and started making people upset if nothing happened.

So basically they were going to start over during Season 6. It will be a whole new storyline, new villains (some old ones), and new story arcs. And of course we will find out what happened to many of the characters.

At the end of the hour, we got to watch a gag reel of unseen footage. It was hilarious!! I hope it will be on the season 5 DVD. Again another worthwhile panel, I can’t wait for Season 6 to begin!
