Gamescom Asia Launches Hybrid Event in October 2021

Back in 2019, Gamestart Asia, the premier gaming convention in South-East Asia, announced a collaboration with the gamescom team to launch their festival in Red Dot Island. gamescom, whose organiser is German company Koelnmesse, is the world's largest tech and gaming event.

The Asian edition was supposed to kick off in October 2020. But then... the worldwide Covid-19 pandemic happened, and it joined many other mass events that had to be postponed.

As everyone looks forward to “the new normal”, the eagerly anticipated event will debut with a hybrid format this year from 14 to 17 October.

gamescom Asia 2021 will include Games360 and Mobile Gaming Summit, an online and in-person trade conference, that will help connect businesses, speakers and delegates across the globe. The schedule will continue with an online PRIMETIME hosted live show, where exclusive game trailers, announcements and game premieres will be announced across major streaming channels. During the weekend of 16 and 17 October, even more goodies like downloadable content, extended demos and gameplays, interviews, esports and new hardware sneak peeks will be available in an online broadcast called STUDIO.

Both the PRIMETIME and STUDIO digital entertainment zones will be streamed on major streaming channels, and are FREE for fans to tune in on-demand at any time!

Even though Red Dot Diva knows that we will miss interacting with each other in person on a crowded convention floor, it does not mean that we need to miss out on the action, the exciting news releases and goodies. The event will also be a kind of preview for what gamescom Asia 2021 will have in store for attendees in 2022.

gamescom Asia 2021 will be releasing more details in the coming months. So keep your eyes peeled for more announcements!
