Loki Will Be Back With More Mischief and Mayhem on 9 June 2021, Disney+

Figure that you have time for only one show this week? Then, it has got to be Marvel latest TV series LOKI. The limited series, which consists of 6 episodes, will premiere on 9 June 2021 (Wednesday), exclusively on streaming service Disney+. New episodes will be available on Wednesdays.

Tom Hiddleston and his inescapable charms will return as the once Asgardian baddie, now anti-hero Loki, also known as the God of Mischief and step-brother of Thor (Chris Hemsworth). Marvel fans will remember that the Loki we have grown to love had his neck snapped by Thanos in AVENGERS: INFINITY WAR. However, in AVENGERS: END GAME, an alternate timeline was created by the Avengers during the Battle of New York, in a bid to undo Thanos' snap. And this quick thinking, still villainous Loki managed to escape, by jumping into a wormhole with the Tesseract.

If the summary still sounds confusing to you, perhaps you will understand it better when Tom Hiddleston gives you a 30-second rundown in the video below:

So, the LOKI spinoff follows the turn of events of this version of Loki, who has been arrested by the Time Variance Authority (TVA). The TVA is a large bureaucratic organisation monitoring the various multiverses within the Marvel Cinematic Universe.

They decide to recruit Loki to fix the temporal mess he created after he bolted with the Tesseract. One of the agents responsible for keeping Loki in check is Mobius M. Mobius (Owen Wilson).

By assigning Loki as the multiverse clean-up guy, will this Loki evolve towards the original version who has been redeemed (somewhat)? Also, will we get to see other Lokis from different timelines? You know, like ... ooooh... Lady Loki??

From what Red Dot Diva can see in the LOKI series trailer, the chemistry between Tom Hiddleston and Owen Wilson sizzles on screen. The series seems like so much fun. Early critics' reviews have already indicated that their bromance is the best in the MCU so far.

LOKI the series is directed by Kate Herron (Netflix's Sex Education), with Michael Waldron as head writer. The other cast members include Gugu Mbatha-Raw, Sophia Di Martino, Wunmi Mosaku, and Richard E. Grant.

Red Dot Diva is so very excited for more Loki-style mischief and mayhem. What about you?
