HBO's internationally popular and multi award-winning "Game of Thrones" will be returning in April 2019 for its final season. There will only be six episodes in this season, with each episode said to run for more than 60 minutes. As in previous seasons, the series will premiere in Asia, same time as the U.S., exclusively on HBO GO and HBO (StarHub TV Ch 601). The series will also be available on HBO On Demand (StarHub TV Ch 602).
To help celebrate the Long Winter, Johnnie Walker has teamed up HBO and Game of Thrones to unveil a new and limited edition Scotch whisky aptly named White Walker. The blend, created by whisky specialist George Harper, together with the small team of expert blenders at Johnnie Walker, is best served directly from the freezer - just like the creatures from the Far North.
The White Walker whisky features Single Malts from Cardhu and Clynelish from Scotland's most Northern distilleries, added with touches of caramelised sugar and vanilla, fresh red berries and orchard fruit. “Whiskies from Clynelish have endured long, Scottish winters, not dissimilar to the long periods endured by the Night’s Watch who have ventured north of the wall - so it was the perfect place to start when creating this unique whisky,” said blender George Harper.
The bottle's icy white and blue design also evokes the chill of the Night King's presence, his White Walkers and the frozen habitat from which they come from. Even the iconic Johnnie Walker Striding Man on the bottle, has adorned White Walker armour! There is another surprise with the bottling of White Walker - using temperature-sensitive ink technology, the phrase "Winter Is Here" will appear when the bottle is frozen.
