It's "Poe to the Rescue" in LEGO "Star Wars: The Resistance Rises" Animated Series!

Coming up in this post are minutes of mini bricked cuteness!

And Red Dot Diva is pretty sure you won't be able to resist it.

Following soon after the news and teaser trailer of the upcoming video game for LEGO Star Wars: The Force Awakens, a precious mini movie called "Poe to the Rescue" has just been released online by Disney XD. It is the first from LEGO "Star Wars: The Resistance Rises", a series consisting of short animated films which serves as a prequel to Episode VIII. (BTW, did you catch the production teaser trailer for the Episode VIII movie?! Ahhhhh! Just those few glimpses has gotten Red Dot Diva super-excited about the sequel!)

Fans in the USA were lucky enough to catch LEGO "Star Wars: The Resistance Rises" which premiered on February 15th. But now, everyone else is able to enjoy this 6:46 minutes of awesome Poe-ness.

In this first episode, Admiral Ackbar has been captured, and that leaves dashingly handsome Poe Dameron - the best pilot from the Resistance - to embark on a rescue mission together with droids, C-3PO and BB-8.

Red Dot Diva is still in pieces dealing with LEGO BB-8. He is way too adorable! Plus, LEGO BB-8 proves to very nifty with his gadgets in this mini LEGO movie. No wonder Poe trusts and adores that little bugger.

"Poe to the Rescue" is not only playfully action-packed, it is also has a few funny moments. The short is a great way to build up anticipation for another new LEGO Star Wars TV series that will premiere on Disney XD in summer 2016 called "The Freemaker Adventures".

Set in the period between "The Empire Strikes Back" and "Return of the Jedi", the series focuses on the adventures of a family of scavengers called The Freemakers and the many adventures that unfold when their youngest discovers a connection with the Force. Having a cast of new characters in "The Freemaker Adventures" will add even more story content to the Star Wars universe.

Wait, there's MORE.

Both the good guys and the bad ones from Episode VII will be back in a new LEGO video game for "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" that is developed by TT Games and published by Warner Bros. Interactive Entertainment.

This hilarious game teaser, which mimics many segments of the original movie's first trailer is a joy to watch. Just within seconds of the ominous "There has been an Awakening" voiceover, Red Dot Diva was already doubling over in laughter.

Knowing how the LEGO games are, Red Dot Diva advises that one should start preparing to say goodbye to any productive time left in a gamer's life.

Be warned that the game is is going to be released in June 28, 2016 and is available on multiple platforms, i.e. Playstation 3, 4 and Vita; Xbox One and 360; Wii U; Nintendo 3DS systems; and Windows PC.

Who knew loving LEGO *and* Star Wars can be sooooooooo evil?

The Dark Side must have something to do with this!
