SG Toy Con 2023 To Be Held At Leisure Park Kallang, 15 to 17 December 2023

Calling all toy model and miniature collectors. The SG Toy Con is back again this year, and it seems to be getting bigger and better!

This year, SG Toy Con will be held at Leisure Park Kallang instead of the Visual Art Centre at Dhoby Ghaut. The event which is organised by Masterpiece Collectibles and Toyz Network, will run from 15 to 17 December 2023, a week after the ever-popular Singapore Comic Con.

SG Toy Con 2022 (16 to 18 December) - A Shopping Haven For Local Toy Model Collectors

The SG Toy Con is the event that toy model collectors have been waiting for. The marketplace, organised by Masterpiece Collectibles and Toyz Network, returns for the 2nd year.

SG Toy Con specialises in resin and diecast toy transport and vehicle models, like buses, cars and airplanes. The event runs from now till tomorrow, Sunday (16 to 18 December 2022) at Visual Arts Centre, Dhoby Ghaut. So, if you are into such collectibles, you still have time to head down to the venue!

EnBlock - Singapore's First Lego Convention to Launch on 19-21 April 2019

Something special for LEGO builders and collectors of Red Dot Island is happening in April. The EnBlock Brick Convention, is set to launch on Easter weekend April 19 to 21, at Funan Showsuite @ Hill Street.

Organized by the LEGO gallery and retail shop My Little Brick Shop, EnBlock is touted as the island's first Lego convention. Various builds by LEGO artists will be on display for fans to ogle at. Red Dot Diva is not much of a LEGO builder, but she is constantly amazed at how creative LEGO artists can be, especially the intricately-designed dioramas.

To gain entry into the brick convention, you would have to purchase a ticket.

Join the Rebellion or The Empire at Vivocity's "Rogue One" Interactive Event - 28 November to 18 December 2016

The latest battle between the Rebellion and the Empire is coming soon, and Star Wars can be a part of it at Vivocity's Central Court B, Level 1 from 28 November to 18 December 2016!

The mall is hosting an interactive event leading up to the premiere of "Rogue One: A Star Wars Story". According to a full-page ad published in The Sunday Times' Life Section (dated 27 November 2016), there will a list of very fun and immersive activities in store!

1. Ogle at a 8-metre tall AT-AT Walker at the event.
Red Dot Diva is not sure if it's a similar At-At that she saw at Star Wars Celebration Europe. However, since this is to promote "Rogue One", it would most likely be the version of all-terrain vehicle was shown in the movie's trailer, which are "not, technically, AT-ATs" as tweeted by Lucasfilm's Pablo Hidalgo. They are AT-ACTs, which are larger and used for transporting heavy equipment or ammunition.

Game of Thrones S6: Westeros is Coming to ION Orchard, So is Bran Stark aka Isaac Hampstead Wright!

There was much celebration (fortunately, without any poisoned wine.... yet) when Red Dot Diva found out her colleague Celine is as crazy over the HBO TV series "Game of Thrones" as she is.

When Red Dot Diva conveyed to her the breaking news that young Bran Stark aka Isaac Hamsptead Wright will be visiting the Red Dot Island for the series' Season 6 promotion, Celine was so excited, she sputtered out this inspired piece of haiku:

Winter is coming
April 2nd, Bran Stark comes
Jon Snow is still dead

*Suddenly having visions of Jon Snow dying in pools of his own blood* Nooooooooooooo!!!

But also, Yeahhhhhhh!! Bran Stark is coming (oops, that sounded lewd) will be here soon!

Making a guest appearance in Asia for the first time, 17-year-old Isaac Hampstead Wright will be meeting fans on April 2nd at the Game of Thrones Experience: "Worlds of Westeros" (#GOTAsiaWOW) at ION Orchard, Basement 4. This special interactive area is set up by HBO Asia to pump up the anticipation for Season 6 of the award-winning fantasy drama series based on the books written by George R.R. Martin. The new season will premiere internationally on April 24th, 2016.

Assemble with Marvel's "Avengers: Age of Ultron" Interactive Event at Vivocity

Don't just watch the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" movie when it premieres in theatres islandwide on 23 April.

Grab your family and a friend or two, and head to Vivocity's Central Court (Level 1) for some fun with the "Avengers: Age of Ultron" interactive displays! The Avengers themed area will be available from now till 3 May 2015, 10 AM to 10 PM. The special event is free of charge.

Red Dot Diva dropped by the mall last Saturday morning to take a peek at the interactive area, and she spent a good enjoyable 15 minutes there doing the following!

One may not have the real-life opportunity to meet a real Avenger, but this is the next best experience one could possible have.

The Spell-binding Harry Potter Exhibition at ArtScience Museum

This is the exhibition that so many local pop-culture fans have been waiting for!

After packing up from Sydney's Powerhouse Museum, the Harry Potter Exhibition is finally here on Red Dot Island!

The Harry Potter Exhibition opened in the beginning of June with "the Weasley Twins" in attendance. Actors James and Oliver Phelps were here on Red Dot Island for the first time, and they were double the package of charm while meeting the press and excited Harry Potter fans alike. From what she heard, that weekend was a whole lot of Stupefy-ing Squee.
