SDCC 2013: An X-Files Reunion?? Deny Everything!

Comic-Con 2013 took an unexpectedly darker turn as conspiracies abound recently about an X-Files 20th Anniversary Reunion to be hosted by a publication company called TV Guide.

There was a wave of murmurings about the special event, with several witnesses claiming that an announcement about it, had been printed and issued by TV Guide.

Later, "confirmations" were cited by several watchdog websites, bloggers and journalists, including leaked details about the momentous occasion, which will probably overtake last year's "Firefly" Reunion.

It all sounds unbelievably epic for it to be true.

Consider these facts, Red Dot Diva cautions:

1. In the official schedule for Thursday 18 July released by Comic-Con's organizers, an event entitled "TV Guide Magazine Celebrates The X-Files' 20th Anniversary" was slated for a 3:30 pm slot in a location called "Ballroom 20". As one can see below, named on the schedule are many notable guests.

2. A vendor of photographic and autographic items Lightspeed Fine Art (LsFA), has warned Comic-Con attendees of star sightings that will be taking place at Booth #3745. Especially after the reunion on Thursday.

Mulder (David Duchovny) and Scully (Gillian Anderson) are to be reunited for a once-in-a-lifetime photo opportunity. There will a limit of 100 such instances available, upon pre-booking for USD 200. And from what Red Dot Diva learnt, right now, only a few such opportunities are available.

Both FBI Special Agents will also hold their own signing sessions, with Scully/ Anderson being around the booth on Thursday, Friday and Saturday (schedule times still yet to be announced).

3. Last week, graphic novel outfit IDW Publishing embedded some information about a very limited variant cover by Joe Corroney, for a publication called "X-Files: Season 10 #1".

This issue was released recently on 19 June 2013 and head honcho / creator of "The X-Files" Chris Carter was very involved with the project. Chris Carter's image is shown on the special Comic-Con variant cover and this item is so exclusive (500 pcs only!) that it can only be picked up at the IDW booth during the convention!

There has also been word that Chris Carter , together with scribe Joe Harris and artist Joe Corroney will be making an appearance at IDW's booth. Red Dot Diva has yet to see announcements of the potential Chris Carter sighting at the booth, and will continue to keep her eyes and ears on the ground for details.

4. Silver foxes can be elusive creatures. And being the silver fox that he is, Red Dot Diva had to study the Comic-Con official schedule closely in order to note that there is another Chris Carter sighting scheduled to take place on Friday 19 July in Room 5AB.

From l to r: Chris Ryall, Chris Carter and Joe Harris
Together with him will be IDW's Chris Ryall and Denton Tipton, writer Joe Harris and possibly some other special guests. Hmmm....

Will these events truly take place at the seaside town of San Diego in about T-minus 11 days?

The Truth Is Out There

And Red Dot Diva is determined to unveil the facts.

She is all set to do a marathon overnight stake-out (complete with flashlight) outside the convention center the night before 18 July, so that she will be one of the first few conspiracy theorists to dash into "Ballroom 20". --- Does the place even exist?

And if she manages to sneak in, she will gather evidences of dubious biceps, post cryptic tweets as well as sample photos of the covert operation to her cohorts at homebase.

Just do not take Red Dot Diva's word for anything concerning this "X-Files Reunion".

Anyway, she was never actually there.

Remember...

Trust No One

Did this really happen?

Or was it an alien mind probe?
