So... What Films Are There at Screen Singapore 2013?

Screen Singapore is returning next week at the Sands Expo, Marina Bay Sands (3rd - 6th December) in Singapore, together with the Asia Television Forum (ATF) - a content marketplace for industry players to network and interact with each other.

During the event, there will be a series of forums and panels for industry professionals to participate in. The topics discussed during the conference will range from financing to marketing to content programming, with a total of about 69 speakers from various countries. Local Red Dot Islanders who will be sharing their insights include Jack Neo and Anthony Chen - fresh from the Golden Horse wins that he got for his movie "Ilo Ilo". "Ilo Ilo" has won 20 international awards to-date, including Best Feature Film at the Golden Horse Awards and Camera d’Or award at the Cannes Film Festival.

So far, Red Dot Diva has been informed of two films premieres during ATF/ Screen Singapore 2013.

ScreenSingapore is back this year but with a new organizer helming the affair.

The hard work of conceptualizing and bringing the difference pieces together now falls in the capable hands of Reed Exhibitions, the same outfit who, for the last 3 years, has brought local geekdom the Singapore Toy Games and Comics Convention (STGCC).

Wisely enough, this year's ScreenSingapore will be held in conjunction with the more established trade-based Asian Television Forum (ATF) from 4 to 7 December at Marina Bay Sands.

And from the looks of it, ScreenSingapore 2012 seems to be a moderately planned but better organized event compared to last year's. Changing the location to Marina Bay Sands already makes the event seem less logistically-challenged. (Last year's ScreenSingapore was held at Capella Singapore at Sentosa.) The schedule also appears to be sleeker and more compact.
