Go to Raffles City and Win Exclusive Oscars Merchandise as HBO Asia Gears Up For Live Telecast of the 88th Academy Awards
Are you one of those rooting for Leonardo diCaprio to finally get his Oscar this year? Or do you usually favour the dark horse of the list, like Bryan Cranston for his lead role in the autobiographical movie "Trumbo"?
Perhaps you aren't so bothered so much about the winners and losers but love to go googly-eyed on the fashion choices made by the celebrities as they walk down that long red carpet.
Celebrities, their guests and entourage are set to descend on Hollywood's glitziest awards event of the year - the 88th Academy Awards (or better known as the Oscars Awards) - tomorrow evening at 28 February U.S.A. time. Comedian Chris Rock is the host for the ceremonies. With the controversy about the lack of diversity plaguing this year's Oscars, Red Dot Diva is most curious to see how many more folks Chris Rock will insult while he's on stage.
If you have already taken leave from work and planned for a Monday morning Oscars watching party, HBO Asia will be bringing to you the award show LIVE from the Dolby Theatre® at Hollywood & Highland Center® in Hollywood.
Just tune into their cable channel on Starhub at the following times:
- Red Carpet arrivals - 8 AM (repeat telecast 7 PM)

Spy On Tom Hiddleston and Hugh Laurie in "The Night Manager" premiering on AMC Asia, 22 February 2016
When it comes to Tom Hiddleston, Red Dot Diva cannot get enough of his undeniable charisma and screen presence. There is still no release date in Red Dot Island for his next movie "High Rise", so Red Dot Diva is delighted that she is able to swoon over Hiddles tomorrow night instead.
"The Night Manager" TV series is based on the John le Carré spy novel of the same name. A hotel manager goes undercover for an intelligence agency in a bid to take down an international criminal and arms dealer. While doing so, he becomes untangled in a dangerous game of secrets that also involve corrupt officials from both the CIA and MI-6. Unlike the book where the story unfolds in the post-Cold War era, the show is set in modern times, with most of the action taking place in the exotic locale of Cairo, Egypt.

Singapore Hosts Red Carpet and Fan Premiere for "The Huntsman: Winter's War" at Universal Studios, RWS
After a dry spell concerning stargazing opportunities in Red Dot Island, Red Dot Diva is glad to see the news splash in today's local media about the premiere of Universal Pictures' "The Huntsman: Winter's War".
Movie stars Chris Hemsworth, Charlize Theron and Jessica Chastain will be making their way here and attending the Red Carpet and Fan Premiere of the movie at Universal Studios, Resorts World Sentosa (RWS) on 3 April 2016.
So, in case you need to take leave, ask for MC, pontang school (Note: Red Dot Diva does not encourage that :P), or get time off from your romantic partners, please make your arrangements early!
"The Huntsman: Winter's War" is a prequel/ sequel to the 2012 fantasy movie "Snow White and the Huntsman", a re-imagining of the popular fairy tale which starred Kristen Stewart, Chris Hemsworth and Charlize Theron in the lead roles.

Teaser Trailer & Poster of Equals - A Movie Filmed in Singapore, Starring Nicholas Hoult and Kristen Stewart
Other than the over-hyped action movie "Hitman: Agent 47" that was filmed partially in Red Dot Island last year, there was another indie film that featured the island's futuristic architecture during its production.
The movie, called "Equals", is a sci-fi story set in an utopian future. It is directed by Drake Doremus ("Like Crazy") stars Nicholas Hoult, Kristen Stewart, Guy Pearce and Jacki Weaver. Most of the filming seems to have taken place within Infinite Studios, but the famous young stars Nicholas Hoult and Kirsten Stewart as well as the crew had been spotted in locations like the Marina Badge, the uber-atas Reflections condominium at Keppel Bay, Henderson Waves and the One North MRT station.
In "Equals", human emotions (yep, that includes sexy time) have been eradicated in society but when a virus infection breaks out suddenly and causes people to feel again. Cue minutes of erotic, longing moments between the good-looking leads KStew and Nicholas Hoult.
