STGCC 2014: More Hot Guests Means More Hunky Biceps for Diva!
Just as fans were about to calm down from squealing after fan favourite Humberto Ramos was announced as one of STGCC 2014's guests, organizer Reed Exhibitions pumps up the adrenaline by adding 12 more names on the guest roll!
Returning to our shores will be one of Red Dot Diva's most favourite, most awesomely-bicepstuous artist and New Times Best-Selling writer - David Mack.
At last year's STGCC, David's booth was so hot it was radiating like red Kryptonite. Fans stood by for several minutes, just to admire at him drawing "live", and he sold off most of his books and art prints. Red Dot Diva would know - she was helping him out at his booth. (Read her experience here.)
Together with Eisner-Award artist Cameron Stewart, the two will be representing part of the team of "Fight Club 2" - a 10-issue graphic novel series just announced last week at San Diego Comic-Con. "Fight Club 2" continues the story of the popular 1999 movie by Chuck Palahniuk which starred Brad Pitt and Edward Norton. David Mack will be cover artist for "Fight Club 2", while Cameron Stewart will pull his weight doing the story's artwork.

SDCC 2014: Diva's Fun and Laidback Preview Day!
A bright, sunny Preview Day is definitely a Diva-tastic way to start off the largest pop-culture event in the US!
And to have enough proteins and energy to get goin', one must have a good hearty breakfast - complete with caffeine input. A good place for that is the Broken Yolk, at the corner of J Street and 6th Avenue.
Red Dot Diva and her roomies walked to the breakfast cafe from their Hilton Bayfront Hotel early in the morn and was surprised to discover that the place was pretty empty.
Standing just outside the cafe, one of Diva's favourite geek dude, Artimus was already waiting for them. The group did not need to wait long at all for their table.

Fans of the WB and DC Comics take note. There are lots of the WB/ DC stuff for you to enjoy during the convention - starting from Preview Night!
As in the last few years, the WB will again be hosting Preview Night at Comic-Con 2014. This news brings Red Dot Diva much Happiness XP.
The WB's TV shows usually includes many which are of particular interest to her, and she loves having advance sneak peaks at these brand new productions. Plus, there's just something special about sitting with eager anticipation in the darkened Ballroom 20 and live-tweeting her reactions to the TV series as they roll-out one by one on the giant screens.

SDCC 2014: Daniel Radcliffe, Alejandra Aja and Joe Hill Will Be Showing Off their "HORNS"!
This piece of very interesting San Diego Comic-Con (SDCC) news came trickling into Red Dot Diva's mailbox earlier this morning.
The movie "Horns" will be promoted at the convention!
The movie is adapted from Joe Hill's (yes, he's the son of horrormeister Stephen King!) 2010 dark-fantasy novel of the same name. The book and movie unravels the tale about a guy called Ig Perrish, who woke up with horns suddenly growing on his head and wielding unexpected powers after his girlfriend's mysterious rape and murder.
"Horns", which was directed by Alejandre Aja ("The Hills Have Eyes", "Piranha 3D") with screenplay by Keith Bunin, premiered at the Toronto International Film Festival last year.
What's most intriguing about the film adaptation was finding out that Daniel Radcliffe is in the lead role as Ig Perrish. The young actor seems determined to head in a different and darker direction from his Harry Potter days! The movie also stars Juno Temple, James Remar and Heather Graham.

SDCC 2014: Diva Offers Useful Tips For Newbie Accredited Press Bloggers
The epic weekend in Nerdvana - that massive, sweaty, busy San Diego Comic-Con - is creeping up faster than you think!
For several months leading up to the mega-con, there have been many blogs and websites providing SDCC first-timers with various practical tips on what to expect, what to pack, how to dress and even, how to get fit for the convention!
Other than just newbie convention attendees, there are also newbie accredited press members who will be working during that weekend.
Since 2011, Red Dot Diva has been accredited as press for many events held locally as well as overseas. These include SDCC (this year will be her third year as press), New York Comic Con, the Singapore Toy Games and Comic Convention, and various local red carpets premieres and screenings.
There seems to be a few first-time press accredited bloggers at this year's SDCC, so Red Dot Diva thought an article on how to prepare to navigate the misty fields of the media landscape may be useful, especially for those who are managing their own blogs or websites.

Starz Picks Up Adaptation for Neil Gaiman's "American Gods" with Bryan Fuller and Michael Green!
This is such exciting news that Red Dot Diva had to wake up at 4:30 AM to post this!
Just fresh in - Starz TV cable channel will be developing Neil Gaiman's novel "American Gods" together with FremantleMedia North America. This was just after HBO explained that why they lost the option for picking up the series. (io9 had the news about that here.)
Red Dot Diva is glad that the project is having a chance with Starz TV, and this time with fabulous writers like Bryan Fuller ("Hannibal", "Pushing Daisies") and Michael Green ("Heroes") acting as showrunners of the screen adaptation and developing the pilot's script. Neil Gaiman and FreemantleMedia North America will also executive produce for the series.
Oh My SQUEEE!!!
