Season 2 of "Da Vinci's Demons" wraps up this weekend in the USA, and it will be awhile before the series returns with a brand new season.
"The Enemies of Men", the penultimate episode of the season, ended with awful things happening to many of our favourite characters, and reveals the existence of a mysterious cult which seems to bode evil intentions on mankind.
Will Leonardo still find it worthwhile to pursue the Book of Leaves? Has Riario's life been turned upside down? And what will the fate of Florence be now that Alfonso is King of Naples?
To help whet your appetite for the season finale, there will be a "Da Vinci's Demons" S2 screening marathon on Starz, on Saturday 31st March starting from 12 PM ET! That is just a few hours from now. Red Dot Diva will get into details on that later on.
In the meantime, here's Red Dot Diva's last "Da Vinci's Demons" interview article from last year's NYCC press roundtable.

"Da Vinci's Demons" Season 2 - Diva Gets Character Insights From Laura Haddock and Gregg Chillin
There is just one episode left in Season 2 of "Da Vinci's Demons" for the folks in USA.
The good news is that, before Season 2's finale is being aired, Starz TV has already announced the renewal of the fantasy-drama series! Whoopee!
Season 2 has taken Leonardo (Tom Riley) and his mates, Zoroaster (Gregg Chillin) and Nico (Eros Vlahos) on a strange and very bloody journey to the other side of the world - South America. Once there, they had to grudgingly rely on their nemesis Count Riario (Blake Ritson) concerning the Book of Leaves.
In another storyline, Lucrezia Donati (Laura Haddock) makes a trek to Constantinople with her Asian guard in a bid to save her father.
At NYCC 2013, Red Dot Diva was at a press roundtable with Gregg Chillin and Laura Haddock to find out more about their characters in the series. Gregg Chillin, with his curly mop of hair and delightful dimpled smile, was as chilled out as his last name suggests. At one point, he even distracted Laura because he had a sudden bout of the giggles. As for Laura Haddock, she was absolutely stunning in person. Red Dot Diva thought her beautiful cheekbones were to die for. Throughout the interview, the passion she has for the character Lucrezia was quite evident.
(For a previous interview article with their co-stars Blake Ritson and the lovely Carolina Guerra, head to this link!)
Here's what Gregg Chillin and Laura Haddock shared about their roles in "Da Vinci's Demons":

SDCC 2014: Where Da Parties At?
Comic-Con is not just about exhibition halls, panels and long lines. Once the events wrap up in the evening, that is when some of the real festivities begin at the many cool, fun parties held around the town. These parties range from the elaborately themed, to the more casual and cosy fan hangouts.
If you are not intending to inflict more mental and physical torture by camping out for either Hall H or Ballroom 20, why not head to a party, grab a drink (or two) and gather some respite before madly charging on for another convention day?
Plus, there could be a bonus where you might meet or bump into someone cool at one of these parties!
So where are Da Cool Parties at this year's Comic-Con?
Red Dot Diva says to check this list out:

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" Press Conference in Singapore - Short and Snikt!-ed
As the "X-Men: Days of Future Past" press conference wrapped up at Ritz Carlton's Millenia Pavilion, Red Dot Diva was still not sure if she had just been unwillingly whipped forward in time via some mutant power.
The entire proceedings with visiting X-Men actors Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage and Fan BingBing, lasted merely 12 minutes tops. It was as if The Wolverine came in, released his claws and went on a rampagey-Snikt! on the scheduled programme.
Perhaps the press conference was cut short because the talent were tired of boring repetitive questions from journalists about the movie, or maybe the organizers felt that the region's media would have enough time with the cast during their roundtables after the conference (where unknown bloggers like Red Dot Diva would not have been invited for anyway).

"X-Men: Days of Future Past" - Singapore Fans Go Wild At The Blue Carpet Event
May 14 was a momentous day for local pop-culture fans. That was the evening when "X-Men: Days of Future Past" actors - Hugh Jackman, Peter Dinklage and Fan BingBing - descended onto the shopping belt of Orchard Road, Singapore to celebrate the South-East Asian premiere of the movie.
It has been awhile since a grand gala premiere was being held here. At lunch time, Red Dot Diva spotted several fans already staking out their choice spots along the barricades on the ground floor outside of Shaw House. Many of the familiar geeks were also out in full force that evening. Each with their own signs and personal items in hope of getting them autographed by the actors as they stroll down the very Mystique-blue carpet.

"Resurrection" Time in Singapore - Party Of A Lifetime with Omar Eppsand Kurtwood Smith!
Gotta give it to cable channel Lifetime Asia.
They concocted such a clever name for the launch party for their new TV series "Resurrection", which will premiere in South-East Asia on May 12, 10 PM. Guess when people can't stay dead, they *are* having a Party of A Lifetime!
To celebrate the upcoming premiere, stars of the highest-rated new scripted show in the USA - Omar Epps and Kurtwood Smith - made their promotional rounds to South-East Asian cities this week. The actors made their first stop in Kuala Lumpur, followed by our little Red Dot Island, and are now currently in Manila.
Enroute to Singapore from KL, the season finale of "Resurrection" was aired back home. And Kurtwood tweeted to say that he missed being able to watch the last episode and tweet "live" with the show's fans.

FCBD 2014 - Hot Comics and Hot Guests On A Super Hot Day!
This year, Red Dot Diva's FCBD kicked off earlier than usual.
On Friday May 2, the night before FCBD, she joined several of GnB Comics' members and friends as well as their special comic book artist guests - Ivan Reis, Alan Quah and Sheldon Goh - at Shaw Lido for the movie screening of "The Amazing Spider-Man 2" in 2D.
From what she heard, most of the guests had arrived in Red Dot Island only hours before the movie night, and Ivan Reis and his wife were practically transported immediately from airport to Shaw House for the event by the GnB folks.
