And boy, did the sneak peek give Red Dot Diva even more feels!
There were some teeny hints about Rey, Finn and Kylo Ren the Darth Vader fanboy, but other than that, the trailer still played coy about the actual premise of the upcoming movie. Nothing too obvious was revealed on how the new characters are related to each other and to those from the older movies.
Which is probably a good thing, because Red Dot Diva may decide to swear off seeing any more trailers/ teasers/ sneak peeks after this, so that she can be truly "wow"-ed when she's watching the movie for the first time.
Rey's scenes were one ofRed Dot Diva's favourites. Is she related to Luke or Leia in some way? Hmmm?
And the part when a silver-foxy Han Solo (Harrison Ford) says, "It's true. All of it.", made Red Dot Diva's heart skip a beat. OKAY. She lied. It was more than a few beats. Argh.
Still no real revelation of Luke, as in a shot of his face, only similar hints from the first teaser from earlier this year.
The sets looked amazing and suitably familiar yet cinematic, and the thrilling flight battle sequences were beautifully executed. Did you also notice the new score by John Williams too?
Oh, oh.. Red Dot Diva thought that sequence of the Millennium Falcon going to hyperdrive was Very Cool, and kinda similar to the one used for warp speed in J.J. Abrams' Star Trek movies! So was that Super Blinding Classic JJ Lens Flare spotted one of the Kylo-Ren scenes.
Red Dot Diva did a quick poll with her friends who were Star Wars fans, on how many lens flare there would be in "The Force Awakens", and the general answer were:
"5 million, I hope!" - Sara
"Not enough of them!" - John
"Countless." - Wern
"Bazillion of them!" - Mark
As you can see, Red Dot Diva has very awesome friends. Who most probably also own Special Lens Flare-Resistant Sunglasses just for watching J.J. Abrams movies.
The two stars of "The Force Awakens" - Daisy Ridley and John Boyega - captured the gamut of emotions of the Star Wars fans in the best way.
With only 57 days more to the 17 December premiere in Red Dot Island, local fans are already eagerly looking out for when the local theatres will be releasing tickets for sale. Hopefully, that information will be coming out soon!
In the meantime, Red Dot Diva is going to watch the trailer again for the umpteenth time. *still flailing*
See? Sphero BB-8 is equally excited about the trailer too!
