Singapore Fans! Tune in to WarnerTV Asia To Slurp Up New TV Series "iZombie"!
A hardcore fan of cult TV series "Veronica Mars"? Call yourself an admirer of creator Rob Thomas' genius? Or, maybe you have developed a constant craving for brains and looking for creatures with similar habits to bond with?
Then, look out for WarnerTV Asia's new TV series "iZOMBiE" tonight 22 May at 9 PM! The witty and widely anticipated series is somewhat based on the Vertigo comic books of the same name. The graphic novel version was created by writer Chris Roberson and Michael Allred.
The series is about snarky, overachieving medical resident Liv Moore (Rose McIver), who became zombie after attending a party. Naturally, to keep the Zombie undead-cells pumping, Liv must nom on brains. Thankfully, Liv works in a coroner's office so she is not short of her required brains supply... although, her diet came with a side effect – they gave her ability to absorb the memories of the dead. Red Dot Diva knows what you are thinking. This sounds very much like "Warm Bodies" except that Liv uses these flashbacks to solve mysteries and murders. So in really, it's like an undead "Veronica Mars".
Surrounding Team Liv is her co-worker Dr. Ravi Chakrabarti (Rahul Kohli) who is aware of her putrefying condition and helps to keep her alive, and detective Clive Babineaux (Malcolm Goodwin), whom she will be solving cases together. Then, there is also The Girlfriend and Roomie, Peyton (Aly Michalka), who together with Liv's ex-fiance Major Lilywhite (Robert Buckley) are getting more and more perplexed by Liv's recent strange behaviour.
Fan favourite David Anders (Red Dot Diva *swoons*), who has bleached his hair like BtVS' Spike, takes the role of baddie drug-dealer zombie Blaine DeBeers. Red Dot Diva expects much delicious trouble-making from him. YES!!
Those who have watched the USA premiere have said that the series was refreshing, engaging and utterly fun to watch.
The first episode of "iZOMBiE" will be airing on the local WarnerTV Asia cable channel (StarHub TV Channel 515) just four days after the US world premiere!
So if you are craving for more brains in your TV diet, DO NOT MISS IT!
PS: Note and admire the opening credits of "iZOMBiE" taken from Mike Allred's work on the original Vertigo comic book series!! They are awesome.
