Transformers Cybertron Con To Create Sparks In Singapore

It's just not enough that the world's first ever Transformers The Ride made its debut at Universal Studios Singapore recently.

The 3D ride, which has been gaining increasing popularity since it opened, was based on the Transformers brand by Hasbro and the loudly explosive movie franchise by director Michael Bay. Red Dot Diva cannot comment much about the ride, for she has not experienced the thrill yet. In fact, she has not even stepped foot at Universal Studios Singapore before. Any kind ticket sponsors out there? Hint, hint.

Eager to create more sparks and Transformers hype in the region, Resorts World Sentosa will be the proud host of the first ever Transformers Cybertron Con in South-East Asia this coming March. The convention, organized together with mega toy brand company Hasbro, will be held at the Resorts World Convention Centre from March 11-14.

There are so many variations of the Transformers brand -- the toys, the animated series, the movie franchise, and video games. So, Red Dot Diva is already picking up all the delighted bleeps and blops from the Transformers fans and collectors here at the news of this very special convention.

One of the main highlights of the event is an exhibit showcasing a historical run-through of the Transformers brand from the classic "Generation 1" era and this will include exhibits of artwork and stories of the many characters and forms.

Avid fans can also sit in panels with special guest, Mr. Hideaki Yoke and brand experts from Hasbro. Top Hasbro artists will also be attending the event to give drawing classes at select times.

Oh, and there will be a giant 22-foot tall character statue of Optimus Prime for fans to gawk at. Plus, 3-D action figure dioramas from popular Transformers scenes. Hasbro, will of course, be showing off their range of toys and products.

And those with nimble metacarpals and digits might want to gear up for battle and join the National "Fastest Fingers First" Challenge -- a competition to see who is best able to convert Transformers figures from “robot” to “vehicle” modes. How fun!
