Will Star Wars Celebration Europe 2016 Be A True Celebration For Fans?
For the last 17 years, a convention called "Star Wars Celebration" has been held for Star Wars lovers to celebrate everything about the franchise. ReedPop took over as the event organizer in 2010 with "Star Wars Celebration V" in Orlando, where the 30th anniversary party for "The Empire Strikes Back" was also hosted.
This year, Red Dot Diva is heading to her first such meetup held at London's EXCEL Centre from 15 to 17 July 2016. The current edition has been entitled "Star Wars Celebration Europe" (SWCE). Although with BREXIT, the "Europe" header seems to be simmering like an embittered soon-to-divorced spouse.
For the last month, many fans were unhappy and voiced their concerns that ReedPop had yet to announce sufficient guests for them to feel that the event was a true celebration of sorts. At that point, only the key guests Mark Hamill, Carrie Fisher, Kathleen Kennedy, Gareth Edwards and Dave Filoni were announced. Inevitably, the number of guests listed was compared to the huge line-up at Anaheim 2015, which saw the entire cast of "The Force Awakens" make their presence on stage.
Prior to BREXIT, ReedPop announced a few more guests like Anthony Daniels, Peter Mayhew, Jeremy Bulloch, Ray Park and Daniel Logan as well as a list of autographing guests. Which was all well and good, but there has still been no word about celebrity guests from TFA, Rogue One or Episode VIII. However, what caught most attendees unprepared were the exorbitant prices charged for the celebrity photo ops.

Welcome to "Orange Is The New Black"'s Litchfield Penitentiary Cafetaria: No... No Complaints About The Food!
Hailed by Netflix as one of its most bingeworthy and re-watchable original series, "Orange Is The New Black" (OITNB) the female prison comedy-drama show based on memoirist Piper Kerman's book, just premiered its fourth season last week. According to statistics, about 53% of OITNB fans has re-watched at least one full season of the series.
To create some hype for the series and its new season, Netflix Asia brought Litchfield Penitentiary's Cafeteria right into the heart of Orchard Road. Fans could cure their addiction for two days on 16 and 17 June 2016 when diner & bar Overeasy transformed their Liat Towers branch to the familiar "Orange Is The New Black" women's prison.
If it weren't for Red Dot Diva's geek pal Jas, she would not have known about this interesting promo that was held free of charge, specially for the show's fans. With her fast skillful fingers (*Diva smirkes and wriggles her eyebrows*), she managed to chope their seats for lunchtime on Friday ,17 June.
Besides, Red says she's giving the Red Dot Islanders, with their fussy tastebuds, a second chance:

Diva's Movie Review: "Warcraft: The Beginning" is Made for the WoW Fan
"World of Warcraft" (WoW) is an immensely popular multi-player game by Blizzard Entertainment, where one could role-play as different fantasy characters like mages, elves, humans and orcs to fulfill various quests. Millions of player accounts have been created since its first version was released in 1994.
With recent technological advances in the field of VFX, the company was keen to translate its success across to the big screen. In fact, a Warcraft movie was announced in 2006 as a project undertaken with Legendary Pictures, which means it has taken about 10 years for it to arrive at its final version.
"Warcraft: The Beginning", as suggested in the title, bypasses the recent WoW game scenarios and heads right back to the start - the battle of Orcs vs Humans.
(Be careful, some very minor spoilers ahead!)
