It's about time Warner Bros. Pictures takes over centrestage for the next few weeks as CapitaLand Malls goes all out with the promotional movie tie-ins for the next big DC Comics superhero movie "Batman v Superman : Dawn of Justice".

Last Friday night on 4 March, Red Dot Diva was invited for the media preview which was held in two places - Bugis+ and Clarke Quay. This is the first time CapitaLand Malls is doing a movie tie-up of such an extensive scale, and their marketing team seemed to be very excited about the events that they have planned for fans and shoppers.

Over at Bugis+, the open space area on Level 2 has been set aside as a battleground for the two popular DC caped superheroes, with a special appearance of the warrior princess, Wonder Woman.

Batman v Superman Movie: Is There Going To Be A Batmobile at Clarke Quay?

Following the aftermath of what happened at the end of the 2013 movie "Man of Steel", a vigilante from Gotham City, the Dark Knight aka Batman (Ben Affleck) sweeps into Metropolis in a move to hold Superman (Henry Cavill) accountable for his actions.

Directed by Zack Snyder with the screenplay by Chris Terrio and David S. Goyer, "Batman v Superman: Dawn of Justice", will bring two of DC Comics' popular superheroes head to head, as

This is the first live action movie where both Batman and Superman appears on screen together, so understandably, the level of anticipation is high for hardcore fans. However, there are also many viewers who are still feeling mixed about the movie, mostly because they felt disappointed by the storytelling and tone in "Man of Steel".

There has been a lot of fleck about Batfleck, and Red Dot Diva has to admit she isn't a big fan of that either. Having said that though, from what she has seen in the trailers released so far, she is getting a bit more used to the notion.

Get Fit with Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dojo Experience and DC Justice League Run!

Who says Nerds can't be physically fit too?

Not all superheroes are blessed with superpowers. So, they would have to consistently work out to maintain strength and dexterity to fight the baddies! Just look at Red Dot Diva's fave superhero, Batman!

So, if one is aiming to add a bit of muscle to their bods, Red Dot Diva recommends that the upcoming 4-week June school holidays would be a great time to start.

Nickelodeon's Teenage Mutant Ninja Turtles Dojo
Children's cable channel, Nickeldodeon is set to train up some young ones on their turtle ninja skills with a Dojo hosted at Downtown East.

There will be the following activities at the Dojo:

How A Wonder Woman Film Should Be Like

Red Dot Diva was just about to head to bed when she saw this video clip that Absolutely Blew Her Mind.

For the many decades of fans wishing, hoping and pounding their fists on the ground for WB to come up with a decent Wonder Woman film or TV series, this short concept film from an LA-based outfit called Rainfall Films brings geekdom much hope.

If this level of quality can be achieved by Rainfall Films within a small budget, what other real excuses does WB have now?

FCBD 2012: Nicola Scott at GnB Comics

Yesterday's FCBD 2012 was one of those simply wonderful, geeky-fun days.

Even the Red Dot Island weather cooperated with this year's FCBD. It was not typically humid, with just the right mix of sunshine and cool breeze, making it perfect for a comic book hunt.

To kick-off FCBD 2012, Red Dot Diva dragged herself out of bed bright and early (although not as early as some, so she heard!!) at about 8 am. She stopped by at Bugis Junction's Toastbox for a much needed caffeine infusion with fellow geeks, Ryan (from Steel Reviews) and Melvin (a frequent contributor for HereBeGeeks), before they headed to GnB Comics nearby.

Introducing Nicola Scott: "Earth 2" Artist Hopping In To FCBD Singapore 2012

Red Dot Diva bets local comic book fans are already eagerly counting down to this year's FCBD - mostly for the events lined up by GnB Comics at their store and the Cathay.

One of the special guests this year is DC comic artist, Nicola Scott. There are not many female creators working for the "big two". With her natural good looks coupled with her fantastic artwork featured in DC series like "Birds of Prey", "Secret Six", "Wonder Woman" and "Superman", Nicola has managed to amass her own group of admiring fans.

Nicola is currently working on DC's new "Earth 2" series with writer James Robinson. The first issue is due for release this week on 2 May 2012.

Despite a busy schedule, Red Dot Diva managed to get Nicola to squeeze in some time to answer just a few nosy questions! Here they are:

Comics Review: Promising Potential In "Wonder Woman #1"

Red Dot Diva suspects local comic creator Aravind Menon probably loves it when he is being lassoo-ed by a buxom goddess who happens to be a strong character of her own.

Here's his take on the DC relaunch of "Wonder Woman #1":

-------------------------

Superman, Batman and Wonder Woman. The trinity of the DC Universe has often been regaled with multiple series, team-up books, movies and toys! Well, for Superman and Batman anyways. Wonder Woman's pretty much been staying at home and making soup.
