Nanoblock Exhibition at Liang Court by Christopher Tan - 21 & 22 November 2015

Nanoblock lovers, there will be a special exhibition by Christopher Tan at Liang Court, this weekend, 21 to 22 November 2015.

Based in Malaysia, Christopher is an award-winning, full-time Nanoblock artist with an international cult following. Recently, Christopher was conferred the title of "Tatsujiin" (Master of Nanoblock). His detailed masterpieces range from the tiny to large-scale sculptures, and cover a wide range of subjects from everyday items, buildings & structures to pop-culture icons.

Christopher's Nanoblocks were recently showcased in exhibitions held in Hong Kong and Malaysia. At the Hong Kong show in 2014, he constructed the largest Nanoblock piece - a staggering 250,000-brick recreation of the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Now, fans who have previously only managed to admire them through photos on social network will now be able to admire these actual pieces in real life as well as meet Christopher in person!

There will be over 100+ pieces on display at the exhibition held at Liang Court, including specially commissioned items, like the one of the National Gallery of Singapore.

Here's a work in-progress of the historical building:

Of course, with "Star Wars: The Force Awakens" just less than four weeks away, there will be Star Wars Nanoblock characters featured, plus Angry Birds, Wall-E, a range of Japanese Festival characters and other instantly recognizable architectures, icons and emblems.

During the two days, Christopher will be hosting a Q&A session, sharing tips about Nanoblock building, and also intends to reveal some of his upcoming projects.

Red Dot Diva is not a Nanoblock builder, but that will not stop her from dropping by Liang Court this weekend to marvel at Christopher Tan's intricate pieces of art, and to admire the amount of patience required to build them.

If you are already a hardcore builder, this is a show not to be missed. Plus, there is a contest for builders to compete on speed-construction, and those attending will stand to win Nanoblocks and shopping vouchers!

Who knows? Perhaps this exhibition will inspire you to start creating your own unique Nanoblock designs!

Where: Liang Court, Level 1 Atrium
Dates: 21 & 22 November 2015
Time: 11:00 AM to 9:00 PM
