STGCC 2015: Huck Gee, C.B. Cebulski, Agnes Garbowska and Jason Freeny Added to Guest List!

STGCC 2015 is only 5 weeks away, and more guests have just been added to the billing!

There are toy & comic artists, anime-related guests and a familiar face who will be returning to the show after a two-year absence!

Huck Gee's Tago the Blank Demon
For custom toy collectors, here's your chance to meet reknown designer Huck Gee!

Well-known for his Asian-inspired creations, his art has been featured in a myriad of publications and installations and he has a design in the permanent collection of the Museum of Modern Art in NYC.

Huck Gee will be selling an exclusive version of “The Blank!” toy at STGCC. "The Blank" is his very own platform for custom toy, and his special item will be a sought-over collectible for toy fans!

Joining him, with his anatomical designer toys, is Jason Freeny. If you like to see your favourite characters like Hello Kitty, Monster Inc's Sully or My Little Pony get dissected, this is your best opportunity to grab Jason's unique sculptures, like the exclusives that he will be bringing along with him - Friendly Fire and Micro Anatomic. Jason is being co-hosted by local toy company, Mighty Jaxx.

Together with tokidoki's Simone Legno, Huck Gee and Jason Freeny will be conducting a panel on how to design and create custom toys! Red Dot Diva bets this session will be a hit with toy collectors and aspiring designers alike.

After Andy Price's successful appearance at the show last year (the line at his booth was "never-ending"!), STGCC continues with the MLP-love this year by bringing in illustrator, Agnes Garbowska! Other than IDW's "My Little Pony: Friendship is Magic" comics, her whimsical and adorable art style are seen on covers of "Powerpuff Girls", "Red Sonja", "Sonic the Hedgehog" as well as her own creative works - "You, Me, and Zombie", "Imagination Station" and "Waking Up Abbey" which can be found on her website.

Agnes Garbowska and Camilla d'Errico will be joining their brains and talent on stage for STGCC's first ever Women in Comics panel! This is a superb and long-awaited move by the organizers. Red Dot Diva approves! She hopes that this panel will continue to be a mainstay at the show until it is no longer necessary to even raise the question about women in comics.

Truth be told, Red Dot Diva is most excited to learn that C.B. Cebulski will be returning to the show this year! YAYYY! C.B. Cebulski is not only a jet-setting talent scout for Marvel, he also juggles various responsibilities within the Marvel/ Disney organization, constantly tweets practical advice on how to break into the comic industry, is an ardent foodie (he has a blog called Eataku about food from all over the world) and is generally, one of Red Dot Diva's "favourite people". Welcome back to STGCC, C.B.! :D

Other newly announced guests include:
- Japanese llustrator Inuyasys , who works mainly with inks, with a unique marbling technique
- DJs Yuyoyuppe a.k.a DJ’TEKINA//SOMETHING, Hige Driver, D.Watt (IOSYS), Estha (GEOGRAPHIC), haLRu (Monomind)

One of the great things about STGCC is not just about the international guests who will be visiting our sunny island. The various local and regional exhibitors housed at Artist Alley also add to the show's pop-culture flavour. In the coming weeks, Red Dot Diva together with the Glam Bloggers Alliance (aka the GBA -- and yes, the group is back!!!) will be featuring Q&A's with some of these creative creatures. So, look out for these introductory articles, which will be posted very soon!
