You see, Joshua Gates has invited DT fans for Destination Dinner!
This piece of exciting news was announced by the man himself during a panel at C2E2 convention held in Chicago last week. Afterwards, on Twitter, Josh repeated his invitation to DT fans to join him on his adventures and get an opportunity to "Steal His Miles" for Destination Dinner. Josh explained that due to the difficulty in getting fans more involved in the popular truth-hunting TV series, he has decided to embark on Destination Dinner as a personal and independent project.
Awwww.... Red Dot Diva can't help but gush at how generous Josh is!
For folks who have an interest in the supernatural or cryptozoology, or are mainly adventure and travel-loving geeks like Red Dot Diva, "Destination Truth" is an entertaining series that offers a peek to remote places right from one's living room. From searching for the mysterious Yeti in the Himalayas, to hunting down radioactive ghosts of Chernobyl and that truly creepy and menacing paranormal presence on the Island of Dolls in Mexico (*shudder*), Josh and his intrepid team of investigators also try to prove the existence of lesser-known local monsters with tongue-twisting names like Mokele-Mbembe, Lusca, Yeren and Fangalobolo.
With the return of Season 5 of "Destination Truth" this summer, Josh said that he will host very special and personalized dinners in unusual locations to thank the series' loyal fanbase. "It could be a fish fry at floating village in Vietnam or a nomadic campfire BBQ in the Sahara Desert. I’ll be posting a date, a time and a place on Twitter @joshuagates, maybe just coordinates. And if you can make it there, an amazing dinner will be waiting for you - on me.”
Red Dot Diva heard that Josh will also personally lead a custom guided tour of the destination. And that's not all either. A few lucky fans will have a chance to dip into his frequent flyer miles. “It’s a well known fact that I am a depraved frequent flyer mile hoarder, and I got to thinking that without the fans of Destination Truth, I wouldn’t have nearly so many miles. It only seems fair that they should have a chance to steal some of those miles back.”
And best of all, Josh confirmed that everyone - not just fans who are resident in the USA - can join this contest! This is such good news for Red Dot Diva! W000t! She wait to cast her chance to to dine, travel with and meet the witty and dare-devilish Josh in person!
